Purpose

 

This Corporation is organized for one or more of the purposes specified in the Act. And specifically for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501©(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as now enacted or hereafter amended, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that also qualify as Section 501©(3) exempt organizations. To this end, the Corporation’s purposes shall include

 

1. To foster a sense of communication and to promote communication and cooperation between members of the Corporation and other groups;
    

2. To promote the development of Madison, New Jersey’s Commercial District (the “District”), to act as a business advocate for the District, and to produce and distribute educational material relating to the District;
    

3. To assist other charitable and educational origination's in the conduct of similar activities;
    

4. To engage in other charitable and educational activities as determined by the Board of Trustees; and
    

5. To engage in any and all lawful activities incidental to the foregoing purposes except as restricted herein.
    

All funds, whether income or principal, and whether acquired by gift or contribution or otherwise, shall be devoted to said purposes.
